This book has been recommended a lot for people trying to get into linear algebra and machine learning, I've not read it yet, as i'm currently working on Strang's book, but thought that this would be appreciated here. Although my article âDown with Determinants!â was intentionally polemical, my book âLinear Algebra Done Rightâ is much less so (except for the title and a few stray sentences). The main drawback I saw was that I had to introduce more computational problems (for example, so that the students could explicitly compute changes-of-basis and such).
